Brooke was also in a car accident and suffered a TBI. This is her with her siblings just before prom in May 08.

Our daughter was injured in a car accident 2 1/2 years ago. She suffered a severe brain injury. Her injury was different than Tori's, but both seem to have had similar devestating effects. Brooke had spent 3 months in a coma and then slowly regained consciousness. She initally could not move anything, could not talk or eat. She was what the doctor's called Locked In.

My parents have been checking on Tori's progress for quite some time now, and our entire family has been praying that God give you strength, peace, and healing for Tori.

We are taking Brooke to get a stem cell treatment next week. We are using a company that is based in the US and uses US doctors. She will be getting about 173 million stem cells pre programmed to become neural cells. These cells are from umbellical cord blood of full term live healthy births. She will get most of her cells straight into her cerebral spinal fluid by way of a lumbar puncture. The company we are using is called Stem Cell Biotherapy. Their website is www.stemcellbiotherapy.com . Brooke's primary doctor there is Dr. Feinerman, but are also working with Dr. Nabavi and Dr. Read.

From what I can tell this is a slightly different procedure than what Tori has recieved.?.? I just wanted you to know in case you were interested in following how Brooke does after her treatment. I don't know if I will be able to get back on, because this is a one day log in. For some reason, I keep not getting approved or something. I want you to know that our family has been in prayer for yours from the beginning. We also have a beautiful child injured 2005 December 10. Brooke a cheerleader and member of her highschool swimteam was a passenger in a car on the way to a family pizza party. The car hit a patch of blackice and slammed into a huge oaktree. Like Tori her brain suffered intense trama. The doctors gave her little hope for survival, and none for recovery. But God is greater than any physican. Brooke came home,still in a coma. Her parents built a hospital room in their home and continued to care for her. She opered her eyes March 2006,and like Tori has been making very slow but steady progress.
Brooke is now 17 and this weekend will be traveling to San Diego to recieve adult stemcell injections programmed fof the brain. As we continue to follow Tori and pray for her we ask for prayer also.

For people who care about her and other people like her, perhaps you will take an interest in this case.

It is hoped that the Governor of Delaware or the Delaware Legislature will intervene to stop Lauren from being starved and dehydrated to death.

People need to email the Governor of Delaware with passionate letters to plead that she save Lauren Richardson.

Tori is important and I continue to pray for her, but she has been fortunate enough to be cared for by a loving family members instead being slowly starved and dehydrated to death.

What the father of Lauren Richardson wants to give for his daughter is love, life and a chance at living.

The courts however have said no.

Please pray for Lauren and Tori.

On friday night, Timpanogos Dance Company had their year end concert. Thankfully enough, Tori was able to come. After the show I was able to see her. Seeing her progress in the
"thumb thing" made me cry. If you say to her, "Tori give me thumb," she touches her thumb with yours. That is amazing you guys! Please keep praying! Miracles do happen, we witnessed one with her earlier, lets pray for another one!

So glad the website got fixed. I was unable to post for sooo long. I want you to know that I continue to check in on all of you. I feel as though you are friends even though we've never met or even spoken. I continue to pray for Tori and your family. In reading your last update, it sounded very much like what another family was going through, the sudden flu with no one else sick. Only their's was much worse. It took about 4 weeks (and 4 hospitals )to determine that he was actually having baclofen withdrawal. Something to do with the refill of the pump and type of medication that doctor used. I was just wondering if you had heard or know what to watch for in baclofen withdrawal. It got by some of our best doctors for weeks here, looking like a virus then autonoumic dysfunction then anxiety then infection.
